In 1990 a group of community leaders who loved the game of golf and had a commitment to leaving a legacy for future generations, organized the South Carolina Junior Golf Association.  As time passed, there arose a need for a method of funding the association.  Founded in 1995 for said purpose, the South Carolina Junior Golf Foundation satisfied this need and became the basis of financial structure.

The SCJGF has experienced significant growth since 2001.  Even in the midst of a suffering economy, SCJGF remains one of the few non-profit organizations that continue to prosper.  Our formidable reputation and strong community ties contribute to our continued financial success which allows us to support our educational and junior golf programs.

SCJGF is a 501(c) (3), thus all contributions are considered to be tax deductible.  The SCJGF operates in accordance with the highest standards in all relationships with sponsors, donors, clients, member clubs and the community.  The SCJGF fosters a climate that encourages development of fundraising activities and diligence with a purpose of supporting our Scholarship and Grant Programs, junior golf programs of the SCJGA and other junior golf specific programs across South Carolina.

The mission of the South Carolina Junior Golf Foundation is to enrich the lives of South Carolina’s youth through funding for educational and recreational opportunities, including junior golf programs.
