In 1995, Hootie & the Blowfish became the Title Sponsor of the Monday After the Masters Pro-Am Golf Tournament. The following year, Monday After the Masters became the largest single-day fundraiser in the history of Columbia. The event, with a $50,000 matching grant from the USGA, raised close to $200,000 for its charities.
Over the past 20 years, the tournament has donated $1.88 million to the SCJGF, not to mention millions more to the Hootie & the Blowfish Foundation, to support various fundraising efforts education and junior golf in the bands home state of South Carolina. Proceeds from the popular tournament support the SCJGF, the SCJGA, Junior Golf Land, the National Minority Junior Golf Scholarship Association and the Hootie & The Blowfish Foundation.
This year marked the 21st anniversary of the event and thirteenth year at Barefoot Resort in North Myrtle Beach. To discover more about tickets, the event, and philanthropy of Hootie and the Blowfish visit the Monday After the Masters Pro-Am Website.
